The Sporting News had an story on Cashman and the off season moves he did and did not make. It also talked about some of the bad choices he either signed or traded for in the past. Names like Kevin Brown, Roger Clemens (last year), Randy Johnson, Carl Pavano, Javier Vzaquez and Jaret Wright. Those starters are 89-66 with a 4.59 ERA, and the Yankees paid $129.9 million in salaries. In addition, for the past four season, the Yankees were ninth in the American League for rotation ERA with a 4.63 and 10th in innings at 5.81 per game. In postseason play during that stretch the rotation was 5-10 with a 5.53 ERA and 5.15 innings per start. My take, telling numbers in deed, and I am sure the Yankees are well aware of such.

Meanwhile, Clemens talks with Congress today, and the Giants parade down the Canyon of Heros.
That will probably be the extent of the blogging today, will try to catch up later this evening. Work calls
